Etienne Calzacstarted at his family domaine in 2010 stopping renting the vineyards to the négociants and start own production. A stae of the art functional winery was built in Avize. He has 2.8 hectares in Aÿ, Grauves and Bisseuil. In Avize Etienne holds a minuscule 16-are Clos des Maladries (essentially a family garden), from where he also produces a single-vineyard champagne of the same name. His second single-vineyard cuvée is Les Rocheforts from Bisseuil. Fine, vivacious style of fine fruit purity and exciting tension. Impressive wine quality since day one and precision is increasing by the vintage.
