The annual event exploring the beauty of Champagne began in 2024 in Helsinki with Minne Champagne & Wine. The experience combines enjoyment and learning about champagne, guided by Essi Avellan MW, with connecting to your inner artist and expressing the moment by painting the bottle as your canvas.
For each event, we carefully choose a specific champagne house and a few products from its range. Beyond introducing the wines, Essi takes us—while we enjoy the champagnes and create our personal artworks—on a journey to explore the house’s historical connection to art and how it has shaped both its identity and its wines. A bubbly event filled with joy, laughter, great champagne, and fun!

Essi teams up with Susanna Sivonen, an experienced artist arriving from northern Finland. The 2026 event champagne will be Pommery—a beautiful house with a strong identity and a history deeply connected to art, dating back to the 19th century.
A few simple tips for DIY painting:
- Use acrylic paint; in our experience, it works well on glass surfaces
- Remember to have fun!
- Allow sufficient time for the paint to dry
- Finish the surface with a light coat of clear spray (hairspray works fine)
